Christopher Rubey is a photographer–photojournalist, cinematographer and editor based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Christopher, (also goesby Chris), was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. In2009, he began attendance at the University of Colorado at Boulder for 2 years,pursuing a BA in Psychology, afterwards transferring to the University ofEdinburgh in the UK and graduated with a First Class MA in English Literature.He now resides in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, but travels often and worksinternationally. As a flexible and versatile artist, he has shot photographyand video, for all categories, from weddings, to commercials, to fashion, to product,to journalism, although his primary passion is for travel and documentary.

His academic history inliterature, psychology, and philosophy informs his sense of aesthetics andnarrative. His musical history and affinity (a vocalist and pianist for most ofhis life, and a recent guitarist) breathes life into his productions, giving itrhythm and 'flow'. His freelance work has gained attention with publicationsand organizations such as National Geographic, the Royal Photographic Society,among others. Chris tells stories, through photos, films, and other media.Self-educated, enthusiastic, and determined, Chris is an all-around creativewith a unique vision worth sharing.


Christopher offers professional photography services for weddings, portraits, event reportage, as well as commercial and editorial work, locally and internationally.
